Play Dates & Mom Friends

It's Monday once again, my friends. And as always that means it's time to reflect on the things that made us happy over the past week. And of course now is also the perfect time to set the tone for a great week to come!

This week wasn't big for stop-the-presses excitement. Mostly just a typical week of routine stuff centering around home and school. (Not that there's anything wrong with that. It's just one of those weeks.) But there was one obvious highlight over the weekend.

On Saturday the kids and I got to have a play date with some friends that we hadn't seen in a while. The kids had a blast playing together, and I was so glad to get to catch up with a dear friend that I don't get to see nearly as often as I'd like.

Having an adult friend is important (especially when you're a stay-at-home mom with mostly the kids for company.) And having an adult friend who is also the mom of your kids' friends makes it that much better. It was the most relaxing fun I had all week.
