We didn't really do anything special to celebrate this time, but my daughter did color a special picture that she wanted me to share with all of you.
I asked her what the stuff around the earth was, and she said "hair." (Much in the tone of "Duh!") I asked why she decided to give the earth hair, and she just shrugged and said "To be silly." So there you have it. :)

ReplyDeleteThank you Gwen! I'm really enjoying your blog, and the others that you linked as well. Great idea!
DeleteYour daughter's picture is very sweet! I love how kids are so matter of fact about things...
ReplyDeleteThanks Michelle. My daughter is definitely one for telling it like it is. :)
DeleteHi Melissa, (btw.....love your name!)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your daughter's Earth Day picture. I got one too from my granddaughter who specifically dedicated it to me for Earth Day since I am always talking environmental issues with her. She's only 7 but it's really sunk in! It looks like your daughter is very eco-friendly, too! Great job.
LOL - thanks Melissa. :) I LOVE it when kids make pictures or art projects to mark special occasions. (It just makes it that much more special.) Keep up the great work with your granddaughter!
DeleteMelissa what an awesome drawing and story :) Your daughter has a great sense of humor and a very talented young artist. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Liz. She's very special, indeed. :)
DeleteI came back over to visit and discovered you're a blog I already know! I just didn't recognize the name!!
